Meet Rachel

I have been in this game for 20 years.

But as the youngest of 5 girls I was ‘lucky’ that my ‘career’ unofficially started 45 years ago.

The “can you just massage my back/ shoulders/ legs and I’ll do yours, after …. I promise” was frequent.

…. I’m still waiting for the ‘I’ll do you’ side of the deal ….

My passion has always been to get the best out of life …. Push the boundaries, recover, sometimes rehab and repeat.

As a massage therapist I soon knew what direction I was going in … to enhance performance. Help the body to recover so you can go and do more.

I was an active child and the by product of my hyperactivity was that I tried all sports :

Team, Individual, On road, off road, outdoors, extreme. I just loved moving and trying new things.

However, I was more a hyperactive enthusiastic than a natural athlete, which meant I experienced most sporting injuries, and the consequent rehabilitation.

That is where my intrigue in understanding the how and why began.

In order to get the best for my client I find it is imperative to discuss the ‘what’. It helps in figuring out the how and why. Making the most of their time and my time. With a background in Personal Training I can use my knowledge of biomechanics and strength and conditioning to look at an issue from a movement and imbalance perspective.

This attitude has seen me help some of the best athletes in NZ and the world.

As a result I have developed a very specific style, but a style that doesn’t have to be restricted to sports people.

INergi Deep Tissue Sports Massage is an answer to most sporting and lifestyle issues.

My massages are a combination of techniques that will benefit my clients as much as possible.

Sometimes MORE is just BETTER.

DARE TO GO DEEPER ...

I have always tried to give everything a GO, and I hope I will still possess that spirit for decades to come yet.

Sometimes there is balance, sometimes there isn’t but over the years I’ve came to realise it’s not the end of the world. It is just something I need to be constantly mindful and grateful for.

And as I get older it has become very clear that

movement + recovery = fluidity
